This year has seen a significant increase in planned air routes and frequencies between Europe and Greek destinations, with a number of airlines (i.e. Ryanair, Easyjet, Aegean) establishing bases across Greek airports, boosting flying options for European passengers. Full service, low cost and charter airlines throughout Europe are targeting the increasing numbers of tourists bound for Greece, a trend to be continued over the next years. The new air transport environment is set to benefit the Greek property sector, as it significantly improves accessibility to a number of Greek areas, popular with overseas owners, over an extended period (mid Apr – end Oct) during the year.
