According to the latest report on the quality assessment of Greek bathing waters, just published by the Ministry of Environment, Energy, and Climate Change, the water is of “excellent quality” at 99% of sampling points. In fact, you can enjoy the sea anywhere in Greece because 99.94% of sampling points were deemed suitable for bathing, as defined by European Directive 2006/7/EC.
This assessment involved evaluating microbiological parameters at over 1,694 sampling points throughout Greece and statistically analyzing the results over four years.
