Semi-detached to its twin villa, enjoying the same prominent location on top of the hill, Villa Thyme Flies II reserves a privileged spot with a view on the charming island of Tinos.
The house is constructed entirely by local materials, mainly local crafted stone and is designed to totally incorporate its environment as part of the whole. In a minimal contemporary style, the house is in perfect harmony with the unique character of Tinos, the island of Greece most loved by artists.
The minimal style of the indoor furniture and decoration in white and grey tones pays homage to traditional Cycladic simplicity with a contemporary twist and highlights even more the amazing views. Walls are white with polished cement floorings creating a special atmosphere. The villa has 4 bedrooms in three different levels, while an autonomous guest house (locals name it ‘cell’) offers one extra bedroom.
The pool, almost perched on the rim of the slope, offering dazzling panoramic views, is the perfect spot for the lazy hours. A few steps away, the beautifully designed pergola ensures a protected by the island’s strong ‘meltemi’ winds, so the guests can indulge a delicious meal, perhaps using fresh-picked crops from the vegetable garden that belongs to the property.
